Ojibwas lived in groups, the groups are also known as bands. Everyone in the group is engage, males go out and hunt, female stay and collect different foods. Each band have a council, and a leader. The Ojibwas greet each others by asking what Clan do they belong to in order to identify if the person in a friend, a family or an enemy. Ojibwas believe in Spirits, the spiritual beliefs were pass down orally. The Spirits were really important to Ojibwas because the spirits guide through life. Ojibwas participate in different ceremonies, including the sun dance ceremony, and naming ceremony. Naming ceremony is a ceremony that is use to name a new born child. They let the spirit name their child. Ojibwas also attend spiritual and social gatherings.
